Alright, you did arrive at cherylchanphotography.com despite this post might not be of my usual food or travel posts. With this, I reveal a small part of me: the Laundry. In case you're wondering how did I manage to wash all my clothes with the weekend travels, in between pack and unpack, well, I just don't: having a mom as laundry shop owner would do the trick.
Mom has been complaining about stains and how it wouldn't go off, especially those that have been around for ages. Opportunity came for Vanish product review and I figured that it might be a good chance to find her a stain remover solution as compensation for all the laundry work I've been skipping all these years.
When I asked her what is the type of stain that trouble her the most, she said out loud and definite: "INK!"
Challenge accepted and here goes my little geeky science experiment of comparing the effect of detergent X and detergent X + Vanish on a few pieces of 12-hours-old ink cloths.
Vanish PowerO2 Crystal White Powder

All of the subjects in this experiment has been left overnight (12 hours) with ink penetrate deep inside the cloth fiber, now that's a challenge on top of a challenge.
Soak them for 5 hours in these little cute transparent "bathtubs".
What can I say? the result is amazing after scrubbing! I didn't expect it to be perfectly white and spotless with the double challenges of left-on-for-hours dry ink stains but this is good enough. Perhaps another try for more Vanish PowerO2 Crystal White Powder or longer soaking hours and it'll be completely gone!
But wait! How about coloured clothings?

I've put less than a quarter of scoop for 200ml of water.
Soak it for 1 hour maximum as per instructed.
Another good result with the addition of Vanish on top of Detergent X without jeopardizing the colourful cloth! Perhaps more powders on next try to completely vanish the ink stain.
