大坂 Osaka: Captain Line

Staying at Hotel Universal Port certainly stands great advantage in taking the Captain Line (Capt. Line) to Kaiyukan (Aquarium) at Port of Osaka where the platform was just behind the hotel within 5 minutes walk. 

It takes 10 minutes from Hotel Universal Port to Osaka Kaiyukan with 30 minutes interval in between. 

During my last visit on October 2012, the fees were as stated in the poster. However, they've imposed a new rate as of 13th March 2013:

Adult (secondary student and above) : one way 700yen / round trip 1,300yen

Child (primary student) : one way 400yen / round trip 700yen

Pre-school Child (4 years and above) : one way 300yen / round trip 500yen

  

We bought the joint ticket of Kaiyukan (2,000yen admission fees) & Captain Line (600yen per trip) for only 2,300yen. There was a discount of 300yen there and another discount voucher of Tempozan Ferris Wheel of 100yen was included. However, this was the fees before the new rate. The joint ticket is now available at 2,700yen. 

Benches with Coca-Cola trademark are available on the platform while waiting for the cruise to arrive.

Standing at upper deck is highly recommended as you can enjoy the cooling sea breeze along with better view.
