Osaka Aquarium, also known in Japanese as Kaiyukan (海遊館) is one of the most spectacular aquariums at Japan. Located at Tempozan (天保山) Harbor Village of Osaka's bay area, it is now ranked as the top attraction in Osaka.

Entrance fees was 2,000yen for adult, 900yen for child, 400yen for pre-school child (4 years and above) as of October 2012. The new rate is now 2,300yen for adult, 1,200yen for child, 600yen for pre-school child (4 years and above). Alternatively, one may opt for joint ticket with Captain Line and others for more discount.
There are 15 tanks where marine life is being displayed, with each representing a specific region of pacific rim.

King Penguin (オウサマペンギン) is the second largest penguin following Emperor Penguin and feeds mainly on small fishes/squids.
This reminds me on every scene of Happy Feet and its sequel.
It was named Pacific white-sided dolphin due to the white sickle part on the belly. With 2~2.4m in length, it is also extremely active and usually swim in large group.

Whale Shark (ジンベエザメ)
As the largest tank in Osaka Aquarium, it has a depth of 9 meters and maximum length of 34 meters with water volume of 5,400 tons in presenting the magnificence of Pacific Ocean. This tank stretches over several floors, making it possible for visitors to observe the animals from different depth and perspective as they walk in a spiral manner.
Japanese Anchovy (カタクチイワシ)
It swims in a very large group with 18cm in body length.
Using manipulation of lighting, audio and water stream, it amplifies the "Fuafua(ふあふあ)" feeling of drifting and swaying of jellyfishes.
Throughout the day, I felt as if I was immersed in the ocean as what the name "海遊" (play with the sea) suggests.
