Talk about marionette and all that I could have imagined was the puppet being tied to 4 strings on those arms and legs then manipulated using a controller from above. The set up may be simple but it was the skill that counts to dance a vivid marionette. Even so, little did I know that somewhere in the world, there are 2 puppeteers who took over 25 years in perfecting that skill; from creation of routines, tailor made of marionettes and their clothing, and finally to pull a thousand strings in front of the audiences.
UK-born John Chisholm and Austrian-born Josef Probst work together in bringing 88 marionettes alive by coupled their motions with musical accompaniments. “Stars on Strings” also included some scenes of world renowned stars such as Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson in his famous moon walk dance.
The show transcends language and national barriers which enable “Stars on Strings” to feature on satellite TV across Europe as well as major cruise lines, delighting audiences throughout America, Europe, Middle East and the Far East.
